Product Description
The Ultra XP is the warmest sleeping bag in the entire Ultra range. It has been specially developed for expedition use and reliably keeps you warm even in extremely cold temperatures. Countless down chambers ensure even heat distribution and reliable thermal performance.
To meet the demands of such extreme temperatures, the Ultra XP features an extra-wide cut. The 3D footbox, with 11 individually filled down chambers, ensures your feet stay warm. A generously filled, adjustable thermal collar keeps the warmth inside the sleeping bag. In addition, a double zip cover keeps the cold at bay. The expedition hood provides insulation around the head, and the large inner pocket offers a practical, warm way to organise your belongings.
The outer fabric protects against moisture. Only RDS-certified down is used for the filling. Despite all these clever features, the Ultra XP is lightweight thanks to its low thermal rating, making it the perfect companion for expedition mountaineers, extreme winter bivouacers or travellers to the polar regions.
It is an open secret that the EN test only works reliably at temperatures of around -15 °C to -20 °C. That is why, for our thick expedition sleeping bags, we only provide a temperature recommendation based on practical testing. Factors such as physical condition, the sleeping mat, the tent and current weather conditions are of great importance and cannot be fully reflected in test results. 40 °C below zero can be regarded as an extreme value.
